Oh my gosh it’s October ! How did this happen?! I hardly have time to think these days because I get easily overwhelmed by all my schoolwork. But, I have to take RAOC breaks of course. <3 Hope everyone is well ! I’m so very grateful to still be receiving surprises in the mail. <3 <3

u/nicoletcrafts - Thank you for sending this fascinating postcard from Malaysia!! The “blue tears” effect of the bioluminescent algae is incredible. I would love to see it in person one day. I live near the Atlantic Ocean, but we are far enough north that there isn’t as much wildlife that comes right to shore.. I have seen starfish, clams, and fat Grey Seals! I just moved here a year ago from a part of Canada that is far from the ocean, so going to the ocean is incredibly exciting for me each time! Thank you again :)

u/KatDuq - Thank you for sending this postcard!! We’re so close, yet so far lol. I have been through Manitoba a couple of times travelling between ON/AB, but only stopped once, to camp in Winnipeg. I know there’s so much more to the province, though, so I’ll have to make a trip again! I’ve never seen a bison in person; they look GIGANTIC!!! Your story about the bison farm is adorable. There is a buffalo farm back home in ON (where I’m orig from), but I don’t have any stories of the buffalo getting loose…. I’d be terrified!! All the best <3 :)

I’ve made the switch to hot coffee and tea, which is a bit sad, but it’s Fall here and quite cool already. Layers are needed!! I was so touched to receive the handmade “FOCUS” postcard!! I can’t beleive you remembered, that is so sweet. It’s going above my desk along with the mini greenhouse postcard:). I enjoyed hearing that you imagine Halifax to look like La Jolla. Not...quite….. hahaah. We are a tiny little city (population-wise), not as urban as La Jolla looks! The Atlantic coastline also looks quite different! I’ll have to find you a more accurate picture of Hali :) La Jolla does look like a gorgeous place to hike, though ~! You are RIGHT, I do love botanical cards! I want to make a whole wall of the ones I’ve collected from RAOC and thrift stores! Other than that, I enjoy cats, handmade cards, illustrations, and generally weird and wacky stuff :D Thanks for sharing !! <33 PS - also, really creative envelope design! I loved that!

This is going up, now, of course, but also will likely be a permanent part of my decor lolol ;) As a nursing student, I am full of bones and bone jokes… So i’ll have to collect some to send your way !!! That is something I try to achieve, but I’m never quite as successful as you ! I really enjoyed reading your note explaining the types of coffee drinks in the postcard illustration. I think I would enjoy Nanyang breakfast very much … That’s usually what I crave in the morning!!
