My mailbox was filled with so much happiness - I guess the boat carrying all the mail arrived today!
->Pics here<-
u/JayDeePea - Sega megadrive Aladdin game postcard: thank you so much for the nostalgia boost! I really hope that your definition of gecko and my definition are two completely different animals. Geckos here cause havoc all summer long. They get into the house, poop everywhere, fail to walk on the ceiling and consequently fall on your face, then die in really inconvenient places that cost far too much money to repair. I approve of your cat and their name however. I am quite new to Reddit so I don't know many subs, but ones I frequent often are this one (of course), r/suggestmeabook, r/WritingPrompts (to read, not write), r/calvinandhobbes and r/fountainpens. I also keep an eye out on my city and country subs for any relevant news but just end up upvoting all the cute piccys of kookaburras and sunsets lol. I hope that my card arrives soon!
u/_kevinmp - Carve something onto this tree postcard: I know the game now, you cannot hide from me! Thank you for the postcard and good vibes. I kind of want to 'carve something' with a pen onto that tree but at the same time I always hated people who did that to trees. I am quite conflicted.
u/tumunathan - Eastern Rosella postcard: Thank you so much for the Rosella postcard. They are indeed quite beautiful birds. I often plant the rosella (hibiscus) plants to make jam and tea. Someone who was more acquainted with the bird over the plant was quite horrified to hear that I had made some rosella jam! hahahaha. "How awful" I believe was the response.
u/biblio_reckah - Jane Eyre literary postcard: this made me giggle quite a lot. I can completely understand Jane's sentiment here - Rochester was a bit of a douche when you think about it. Thanks for the card!
u/eloriale - Hong Kong by night postcard: what an amazing postcard of Hong Kong! So bright and colourful. :) I haven't been, but it sounds like an amazing place to visit by your description. I went to Shanghai a few years ago and I loved the old water town we went to (Wuzhen) - it was so beautiful, but completely different to the city. Thanks for the message and great card.
u/StephanieTay (x2) - goldfish and shell postcards: one postcard I expected, the other was a surprise! Thank you for both the beautiful postcards. I think I need to frame or hang the goldfish one it's so pretty! Also, despite not being an avid philatelist, the Malaysian stamps that you used are amazing! They are mini works of art in and of itself! How pretty!
u/Nenemu - Chuunibyou anime postcard - thank you so much for the cute postcard! I have often seen this anime around but have never sat down and watched it. They look absolutely adorable! Have you watched the series? How did you like it? Thanks again for the exchange, I hope that mine arrives soon!
u/han2ying1ju3hua2 - university building art postcard: thank you so much for the illustration of one of your university buildings. I hope that your graduation ceremony went well and are enjoying a student free life! The stamp that you used was quite lovely too. I hope that mine gets to you soon!
u/lonelytwatwaffle (x2) - Supernatural and Line Friends postcards: thank you so much for the exchanges! I enjoyed the quotes you wrote for the messages, especially the Supernatural quote to match the Supernatural card! I really liked your return address label stickers too. I also recently ordered some more labels, this time with my country on them!
Thanks again for all those who sent me mail, and the wonderful people who make this part of the internet so great!
