Hi RAoCers,

A month ago I moved to another country to live with my (until then long-distance) boyfriend. I'm currently still in the process of settling all the moving-related formalities: getting a residence permit, new bank account, new phone number, starting a language course and so on, and while I was aware of the challenges I will have to face, I often find myself feeling a bit lost. I don't have a job here yet, I don't speak the language and I'm yet to make any new friends. I know it's going to get better over time, but right now so many things are confusing here.

If you have some advice regarding adjusting to life in a new strange place, whether it's a new country or a new city, I would love to hear, but all happy mail is welcome! Tell me about something nice that happened to you recently, brag about your accomplishments (even the small ones!) or share a fun fact. I'll be grateful for whatever you want to send my way!
