u/younganddthrifty - thank you for the beautiful beautiful mountains :) you should definitely visit India one day, I'll be happy to show you around my city - Mumbai. Yes it does get pretty hot here in summers, average being 32-40°C. Well as far as drowning in the rains is concerned - it has happened when there were massive floods in 2006, other than that if you go swimming in the sea/lake/pond during heavy rains you can drown. It's really amusing to know what people think about India hahaha. Aaaannndd about rice, yes it's our stable diet, average Indian household does eat rice for 4/7 days a week. We used to cook rice daily until a few years back at my place. So yes we eat a lot of rice all over the country. Your postcard definitely made me smile, I love such questions. Have a great day :)
