Hey all! I decided to wait a little to do thank yous this time around - on purpose for once! Saves me spamming the sub.
For everyone tagged in this who sent me the card for my kidney stones/as part of an exchange, I'm making and writing out the cards this weekend (though it's slow going as I'm still doped up on a high amount of codeine and the pain is still occasionally shining through the med-glow). They'll all be sent out by Fri 21st - which I know is late given how soon I received some of these cards and I'm sorry about that.
u/RajTheShark - thanks for your lovely letter, the gorgeous postcard and the adorable sticky-notes! <3 I loved it all. I'll be sending a letter your way (Actually already wrote it out and stamped it, should be headed your way soon). I'd love to be pen-pals!
u/DawnSoap - thank you for the lovely card you made with your sister, I definitely appreciate the sweet wishes ^_^ Also thanks for the kind words, that I mean something to "a bunch of strangers on the Internet". I was having a down day when I got your card so that made me tear up a little, I won't lie, aha. In a good way though!
u/BeanutPutterSammich - thanks for the adorable wheelbarrow card :) I love it. I'm so happy with the little stickers too! I love extra goodies lol.
u/tomatomoth - thank you for the uni-cone postcard. My mum thought I'd gone mental cos I was giggling so hard at it - even I don't know why I find it so damn funny. And thanks for the little inspirational messages, they really help! I actually put them in my wallet and read them when I feel a little down haha. Please can you PM me your address? I can't read it well enough on the back of the envelope - sorry!
u/shadesoflanternhill - where do I even start with your card?? It's gorgeous! I love all the stickers, and the forest-y paper, and the wolf! Honestly it's amazing. I loved the little pouch of bits and pieces, too :') Honestly I was shocked at how much you fit into that tiny little pouch (which honestly I'm keeping to put my favourite jewellery in - was going to use it to put a present in for my sister but frankly I can't bear to part with it!)
u/soxgal - thanks for the late little birthday card! It's so cute. I love cat puns lol. I'll try get something out your way by the end of the month!
u/Jade-the-Spade - thanks for the Sam Supernatural postcard! I honestly love it! I have an unhealthy crush on that man lol.
u/dreamer_dw - thanks for the hedge-hugs! Seriously guys I don't think you all understand just how much I love animal puns! Honestly such an adorable card, and I love the stickers :3
u/afloodbehind - thanks for the tea-for-two card! I'm not a tea drinker (I know, I'm a disappointment as a Brit!) but I'm glad you had a cup in my honour, I appreciate that :')
u/dickcrusher666 - I still laugh every time I see your username. It's my absolute favourite lol. Thank you for the Get Whale Soon card! You said you couldn't stop laughing when you saw it in the shop? Well, this was another case of my mum thinking I'd gone mental cos I couldn't stop giggling away at the whale in his doctors coat lol. (also the future is shit, don't come here!)
u/consultingrodent - thanks for the Idaho postcard! I always forget you guys are known for potatoes. In the UK we reserve that spot for Ireland haha.
u/itscalledunicode - thanks for the Yellowstone postcard! I honestly would love to visit Yellowstone one day.
u/sookybabi - I love the mushroom postcard! All the random facts were awesome (as well as the dad joke lol).
u/bamagg - I love cats so much! Thanks for the sweet yet simple card and the adorable stickers (the black and white kitty sticker reminds me of my cat; fed up expression and all!).
u/zennet - thanks for the Cleveland, Ohio postcard, it's honestly a gorgeous little scene. My sister would love to go to Ohio, and I actually have an ex from there!
u/junkyardjenny - yeah I did laugh when I got your card too - blah blah blah indeed! The stickers made me crave doughnuts soooo hard, but I'm trying to stay off junk food for the betterment of my kidneys lol - so I just stared at them with my mouth watering for a little bit instead!
u/5-finger-death-punch - I always love getting cards from you <3 this adorable sloth card was no different! I honestly think I've never actually seen a baby sloth before, so that was a first for me aha. I'm so jealous that your boyfriend is a zookeeper! I'd love to work in a zoo!! :D I'll definitely have to visit this oldest zoo in the world in Vienna sometime. PS I loved the stickers and the playing card!
u/2dogsintheyard - thanks for the handmade card! It's really nice :') did you take the picture yourself?? (Also I love the dinosaur stamps so much - I'll definitely be steaming those off as carefully as I can to keep them!)
u/oryx85 - thank you so much for the adorable card that made me and mum both go "awwwwwwwh" when we saw it, and your super kind words <3 I hope you're doing okay in yourself right now and that you're not feeling too unwell. The doctors appointment went well enough - I'm booked in for a CT scan in a week and a half to hopefully figure out the size of these stones and why the heck they're not moving!
u/bellanova2018 - thanks for the card and all the die cuts! I love them so much - even if I did wind up still finding glitter on my trousers a week later lol.
u/sosococomomo - thanks for the postcard! I love artsy cards like the one you sent me, it's gorgeous. Yeah things are blooming here - to the dismay of my hayfever! Thank god I stocked up on medication for that earlier in the year aha.
u/englyn - for the funny and sweet postcard and the absolutely adorable dinosaur pin button! <3 I loved the lot!
and finally u/mary_eev - thank you for your lovely card full of memories of Ms Dorothy. It's so sweet and it seems that you cherished your time with her very much! Thank you also for your generally kind words, I'm honestly trying to get some help with the grieving process. It's just that much harder as it's been a few years since she passed now, and of course there's a mile-long waiting list to be seen by a specialist. But hey ho, I'm getting there! I have more good thoughts of my nan than bad nowadays so I feel I'm slowly making progress.
Like I said, I'll be making/writing out your cards over the next few days and getting some stamps at work (I'm gonna be so damn poor after paying postage for all these!) - so keep your eyes peeled at the end of June/start of July for a card!
