This has been a really bad week. A couple of days ago I had to say goodbye to little dog of 15 years (https://imgur.com/VxpSj9m). She was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. When she was a tiny little pup, she'd sit in a corner and cry because my cats were looking at her and I'd have to go in and rescue her from them. She was so small I could stick her in a hoodie pocket and take her everywhere with me without anyone noticing. She had one ear that always stuck up, the other always flopped over. She also had a restless leg and would twitch it when she was sleeping or really excited about something. She loved to travel and go for hikes.
I had been holding my breath for months, knowing the day was coming that I would have to say goodbye. Now I'm just filled with a deep sadness at her loss, and so much guilt. Could I please request cheerful cards? Jokes or puns or something like that would be nice. My family doesn't really understand grieving over an animal, and I don't have any close friendships, so I don't have anyone to talk about her with.
Thank you.
