My landlord said no to a cat (boo!) so I got a hamster instead (yay)! Pictures, of course (https://imgur.com/a/MWyuiGU)! In honor of my new family member, and because it’s Golden Week and I have lots of free time to make cards, I’m offering homemade animal cards. If you’d like to tell me your favorite animal I will try to incorporate it but, as always, I make no promises! I’ve recently found some super cute washi with animals like capybaras, lemurs, hedgehogs, and squirrels so expect to see lots of that! I also just found some cool aquatic based washi and stickers so if you like the ocean or an ocean animal that’s cool too! I won’t be able to mail them out until next week though because the post office is closed for Golden Week.

My new hamster is adorable, very curious, clean (made straight for the sand bath right off), and already loves the wheel! There’s a little bit of an issue though. I think it’s a boy and the pet store said it was a boy but hamsters can retract their bits and pieces if it’s cold and it’s a bit drafty in my apartment right now! They like to be Spider-Man and climb their cage but is constantly in motion so its super hard to tell! And I’m not handling them for two days to give them time to adjust so I’m going to stick with gender neutral pronouns for the moment. The names I like are pretty gender neutral too so that’s ok. Finley/Finn, Scout, and Charlie are my top three. I’m totally open to suggestions as well!
