Hi everyone,
My almost 12 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with an auto inflammatory disease that has been causing her flare ups every 2-3 weeks which make her very sick. We’ve actually been dealing with it for years and just got a diagnosis finally. (She is healthy in between flare ups though, which is good.)
She used to be a beautiful dancer (has even been compared to an early Misty Copeland multiple times) and has studied dance since the age of 3. This has caused her to have to take a break from her dance career understandably until we learn how to better manage it and maybe predict flare ups. We were also told she will need surgery, but it is not a guarantee to stop the flare ups, only part of the symptoms.
She has obviously been a little depressed and daunted by all of this. She has a birthday coming up on Feb 20th and I thought maybe receiving a few cards and words of encouragement might cheer her up some and lend her some strength.
If anyone is willing to send a card her way, please let me know. I would love to see her smile again.
Thank you all.
EDIT: spelling reviving=receiving car=card
