Hi friends! I've missed you all. I've been in North Carolina for the last week or so. My mom checked my mailbox for me while I was gone and she was blown away at how much love I'd received! You guys never let me down :)
Thank you u/MaeveTheBrave for the "Sorry I gave you my cold" postcard. I read the back of the card "Sorry that I can't think of anything good to write here" before I saw the front and thought to myself "huh, that's what I always want to write on my cards" and when I flipped the card over I had a great laugh. This card is great and I bet the whole collection is hilarious!
Thank you u/libertyprogrammer for the cute dog on a bicycle card filled with beautiful, uplifting words. I appreciate you, Liberty! I am always so excited when I see mail from you in my mailbox. I love the little "Smile, Pop Open Here" extra. I've never seen them before and in this haul of mail I actually got two different ones!Spending a week in the mountains was filled with amazing self care. As someone from Florida, I'm sure you know how nice it is to get away from this insane heat!
Thank you u/silverandsapphires for the sweet cactus card. I love your handwriting. I've been trying to practice my cursive lately but feel terrible subjecting the lovely people of this subreddit to that catastrophe. I truly appreciate your kind words, I hope you are doing well <3
Thank you u/GreenSatan for the incredible Jeff Haynie card! I'm in love with this card and am going to display it proudly. You're so right, the card is full of details. If you don't look closely, you miss so many cool hidden things. I, too, am so fond of thunder. Luckily we get a lot of thunderstorms here and South Florida. I appreciate you sharing your dark times with me. I would never wish it on anyone, but there is comfort in knowing I am not alone in feeling this way. I'm really glad you're having less bad days. You write the perfect amount, I love cards like this :) I would love to send you something in return if you could send me your address.
Thank you u/GuinoBear for this homemade masterpiece musical rabbit card! You should've heard me squealing when I opened it. It's absolutely perfect. This card means the world to me and I truly cannot thank you enough. I can't wait to display it on my dresser. I can only imagine how difficult things are with your husband going to school in his 30s, but like you said, better now than later - or never! I'm positive it will pay off immensely. Luckily, I only have one year left of radiography school. Knowing me, I'll probably go back for additional certifications, though. I can't stand school but can't seem to stay away either!
Thank you u/enska3 for the bright sunflower card. I don't normally listen to Sia. I've heard songs by her here and there and liked them, but I never went out of my way to listen. I looked up the song "Unstoppable" and I LOVE it. It's so empowering. I added it to my Spotify playlist and when I'm full of anxiety next week rolling into school after my short summer break, I'm going to BLAST this song and destroy all negativity!
Thank you u/TurdQueen for the Madam Curie postcard. It fits perfectly with my studies. During World War I, she realized that x-rays could assist doctors in seeing bullets etc. in the soldier's bodies along with identifying broken bones. There were already plenty of hospitals with x-ray equipment, but they were far from the battlefield. She developed mobile radiography units to service field hospitals. She is incredible. :)
Thank you u/ChineseOrangeChicken for the Ferdinand Erfmann postcard. I don't think I've received any mail from Holland before! I appreciate your kindness and support - you deserve the very best, too. :)
Thank you u/MeowPrincessSandwich for the cute little mushroom card! I love your cards as they are always a welcome reminder to stay grateful. No matter how bad things are, there is always something to be thankful for. Often times, that is what keeps me going. I appreciate you.
Thank you u/rainskate for the let's stick together card featuring an adorable hand drawn rabbit! This little guy put a huge smile on my face. You are so talented. I'm happy to report I am feeling much better. Thank you so much for filling my mailbox with joy.
Thank you u/sunnysarah1981 for this beautiful card. We all need a reminder from time to time that we are in fact human. We're allowed to have bad days, but as you said, don't unpack and live there. Those are words to live by. Thank you for the uplifting words, you are fantastic.
Thank you u/mologos for all these goodies! This is fantastic. I'm a huge fan of these "you are beautiful stickers". I thoroughly enjoyed reading through all the cards and I also learned quite a bit! Quite a few of these spoke to me, as you put it. This was such a nice, different idea. Thank you!
Thank you u/morenoodles for the cards and I, Crocodile book by Fred Marcellino! Oh my goodness you are amazing! I was so excited to receive this. I admire the work you did as a Read-Aloud volunteer - and for 18 years! I hope you know how amazing that is and how incredible you are. The world needs more people like you.
Thank you to the always lovely u/meowdisonqueen for these goodies! Look, girl, it appeared! I was getting my mail yesterday when one of the guys who works in the neighborhood office walked up and asked if I thought this card belonged to me. He said he's had it for awhile but hadn't seen me. Girl, it wasn't too heavy, YOU FORGOT TO PUT MY LOT NUMBER. Hahaha! Regardless, I'm glad it appeared because these cards need to be put to use! I adore them. I promise I'll have a card out to you soon, I'm in a funk where I don't want to do anything! School starts next week so I think it's back to school blues.
Thank you mystery sender for the Jurassic Park postcard! This is one of my favorite rides at Islands of Adventure. I never get tired of it. Getting this postcard has given me the itch to get back to the park!
