Last Monday, I got some bad news at a doctor's appointment. I'm not dying or anything, but the news was still difficult to process. Enter u/beyondnostalgia. When I checked my mailbox after the appointment, I found an envelope filled with pretty postcards and cute orgami, and a note telling me to be strong and fight. Beyond knew I'd been having some health issues, and was kind enough to send a message of encouragement as a reply to a valentine I sent her. Of course, she couldn't have known about my 3/19 doctor's appointment, and those cards took weeks to get to me. It just so happened that their arrival date was the same as my dreadful doctor's appointment.
I cried many tears of the best kind over those pretty postcards. I appreciate every single card I've received from this sub, and I have many more thanks to post, but it felt right to send a special singular thanks, and to tell you all your cards really do make a difference.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, u/beyondnostalgia.
