u/stephkempf - Thank you for the geopolitical simulation card! Man, if u/seabearie and I had maintained our alliance, our nations may have survived! Your card brought back memories from my AP European History class (almost 15 years ago), where our major exams were historical simulations. Our midterm was a week-long class debate in the form of a French Enlightenment salon, and our final exam was a 2-week geopolitical simulation of WWII-era diplomacy. On the final exam, we somehow ended up with a time-traveling dictator, a Feminist Republic of Italy, and a French pterodactyl that escaped a genetic engineering facility. BUT we were the only class in the school's history to have avoided declaring war, so I guess our creativity was acceptable.
