Post Body

I'm way behind posting my thank yous so this is a long list - ordered alphabetically so I could de-duplicate when I had gotten multiple cards from one person. Thank you so much, each of you, for your care and your cards!

  • u/anora214: Thanks for your super cute bird card (my partner is a birder so she was super thrilled)! I'm all the more thankful since I hadn't written to you in ages - I need to fix this! I hope that you enjoyed your travels - travel is the best! I've actually already done some travel this year and have more coming up myself - I might write back then!
  • u/bluedecemberart x2: Thank you for your two cards!
    • Thank you so much for your kind and sweet "happy card"! I'm more of a dog than a cat person but I think I'm kind of neither, so the card was perfect :)
    • Thanks for the big bear hug card! I can't say I'm a big fan of the cold in winter so that really helped :) I hope that you got through the holiday season with some fun activities, good food and plenty of warm hugs!
  • u/catnatomy: Thank you so much for your wonderful Christmas card letter stickers! I have good memories of San Diego, especially the zoo; I hope you'll get to go soon! I'll be away some more but will write back to you sooner this time, hopefully!
  • u/DPClamavi: Thank you for your New Year's card! I loved the very friendly / huggy snow man on the front. I'm sorry to hear that you've had a tough time. I am crossing my fingers that 2024 will be better. Sending a big hug!
  • u/introvert_hangover: Thanks for your Christmas card! I'm not religious but I do like to exchange gifts on Christmas - like you, I get more enjoyment out of giving gifts rather than receiving. Also like you, I've been a slow correspondent over the last year. We'll see, maybe my mailing frequency will pick up again in 2024 :-)
  • u/isar-love: Thank you for your sweet and thoughtful card! Let's try to catch up in person again some time when the weather gets warmer. I hope that you are well! 💌
  • u/Libertyprogrammer x2: Thanks for your two cards!
    • Thanks for the card where you mentioned your travel plans for March. I tried to send you a chat message regarding recommendations but I got an error message - not sure what's happening; wanna chat me instead? I probably won't be able to write any snail mail in the next 10 days and I don't want to forget. Given the peculiar nature of the change to your address, I'm curious about the backstory! I had a great New Year - did you do anything special?
    • Thanks for the cool card from Zurich! What Schroedinger's Cat related attraction is there in Zurich? The Lindt factory sounds like an amazing place to visit, although very dangerous to me because I'd be tempted to buy the entire stock of their shop.
  • u/mydinosaurdidit x2: Thank you for your two cards!
    • Thanks for your congratulations card! I really appreciated your kind words. My trip was wonderful - I'll tell you more the next time I write to you!
    • Thanks for your Spanish card! I had to rely on my Spanish speaking household member (who is also a book fiend) for a translation. I'll write more on my next card!
  • u/Peonynote: I loved your colourful card with all the birdies! (My wife loved them, too :-) ). Thanks for writing so much. I think there are a lot of us who have scaled back on the card writing, including myself. Your story does sound super creepy and I don't blame you for being creeped out (I don't know enough to tell if the person meant well but it's creepy either way). I'll definitely send you some travel tips in my next piece of mail!
  • u/PinkPengin: Thanks for your super sweet and thoughtful congratulations card! So kind of you to send it. I also appreciated the thoughtful selection of stamps very much. I had an amazing time and sent you a card from my trip that has probably arrived by now :) I look forward to exchanging more cards (one day I hope to come visit / catch up with you! :)
  • u/reindeerfrog: Thanks for your card from the Canary Islands! I've been to Tenerife and I think also to Gran Canaria but not to any of the others. I loved the colourful front of your card. I hope that you had a great time and managed to soak up some sunshine.
  • u/Tigerlady13 x2: Thank you for your two cards!
    • Thank you for your birthday card with the wonderful decorative washi tape, puns/jokes and other decorations! Yours was the first birthday card I received this year.
    • Thank you for your "peace on Earth" card for the holidays! It would be so nice if humanity could be freed from tyrants and war mongerers :-(
  • u/travel4me22 x2: Thank you for your two cards!
    • Thank you for your wonderful hand-made holiday & birthday card! I didn't do anything special for my birthday, spent most of the day dealing with annoying paperwork :) But don't worry, I pamper myself plenty, especially with travel :) Thanks again!
    • Thanks for your congratulations card - it looks like this one might have been self-made too? So sweet of you to make & send it. Thank you very much!
