Mystery sender? I apologize! I didn't see or I missed a username! You wrote such detailed history of my hometown and I was impressed. I did not know about merging two rivals towns together in the early 1850s. The Miami and Erie canal history is pretty present in the town. There is a canal museum and every fall there is a Canal Days weekend festival. There are no boats that go on the canal though. Only thing on the canal are ducks and geese. They do have designated canal cleanup days to keep the canal as clean as possible from litter. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
