I am still in shock over what happened… Three days ago I came back home to find my beloved cat, Blue, laying on the floor with tears in her eyes. I rushed to the emergency immediately and was told she might not survive within the 48hr timeframe.
We were given the option to put her down or do a surgery. We decided to give her a chance and she did survival the surgery (which only had a 20% chance).
She was doing better the last two days but this morning I got a call that she is declining again. I think I’m really going to break. She is my best friend and my whole world. Her bonded brother has refused to eat and would sit at the entrance of the door all day long. It really breaks my heart.
At the same time, I’m left with a really difficult choice. Her bill is now already 16k, but it is likely it will be around 30k if she continues to do worse. There might be more installation of tubes, surgeries, exams and the vet says she might be uncomfortable for them.
I don’t want to say goodbye but I also don’t want her to be in pain. I think I wrote this post mostly just to release some of my stress. I would really appreciate any form of comfort, even just a message or comment.
Thank you….
