u/Dat_Boysenberry3160 -- thank you so much for the yummy pink postcard! We're also having a brutal summer, and it's seemingly never-ending - it'll be 80-85 all week. I'm studying health and incarceration...it's unknown what my dissertation will be on, but right now I want to work with impacted communities to address what predisposes people to incarceration (how they are racialized, the neighborhoods that they live in/concentrated poverty, lack of access to intergenerational wealth from home and business ownership, etc).

u/boyegcs -- You took a vacation right in my old stomping grounds! It makes my heart so happy to see the postcard of those places and hear you talk about them. My mom lives in that area now, so we're always up in those places and it is SUCH a cool place to take a vacation. The safari place you mentioned has been one of my favorite places to go since I was a kid -- I've truly never been anywhere like it before! I hope you get to take lots more vacations like that :) There's a mud bath place it seems like you missed that is always worth it's own trip, atleast once!

u/According_Skin_3098 -- Thank you so much for the fall-themed card! It is absolutely gorgeous. The fall colors here are really incredible - I just got back from the mountains, and even in an only okay leaf year as this one is, the colors are incredible. Our weather is not super conducive to fall color, we get cold snaps and then it's 30 degrees c, so the trees don't know what is going on and drop their leaves so fast.

He LOVED catnip and would sit on the catnip jar just to get a contact high. It's so cool that yu get to visit this area, it really is gorgeous certain times of year! I just got back from the area where you parents live, I went apple picking and hiking and leaf peeping and had the BEST weekend. It sucks having to be back in reality after that!
