Post Body

This post is a bit delayed - normally I post within a week of receiving a card, this time it took up to a month, sorry!

In order of receipt:

  • u/Intrepid-Researcher: Thank you for the postcard with the famous Surveyor 1 picture! I was sick when I got your card, thank you for cheering me up! You again used one of those wonderful Norwegian stamps; you decorated the card with some cute hand-drawn green plants, stickers, and by writing with red and green pens. I hope that you enjoyed your cousin's birthday celebrations and the escape room - it sounds like the "friend of a friend" was a potential dating prospect? If so, I hope it went well! We all need some love in our lives. Sorry I'm still writing very little mail myself, but I was happy to hear from you. Sending big hugs and best wishes!
  • u/reindeerfrog: Thanks for your card! No I did not know about the Oulu route, when you wrote "seasonal" silly me was initially assuming summer 🤣 - that's the only time when I'd consider Lapland. Thanks also for the cool iceskating stamp! 💌
  • u/PinkPengin: Thank you so much for the personalized Climate Change card! Man, there's so much bullshit going on in the world and I find it really hard to not let it get to me. Humans are kind of short-sighted, selfish and most of all stupid, flushing ourselves down the drain of history probably in the next couple hundred years; it won't be pretty. The way how humans have insufficiently dealt with Coronavirus (a very much solvable problem) and climate change (a much, much harder problem), how many Russians buy into Putin's propaganda and think they're fighting the good fight against fascism, and how Americans buy into wannabe dictator Trump. Whyyyyyyyy! It hurts so much to see humans being so willfully ignorant. I'm so disappointed :-( 😫
  • u/amyt13: Thanks for dove card from papersisters for World Postcard Day! I'm taking a bit of a break from RAoC so I've only send a couple of cards even for WPD, but I hope to write to you again soon - I still owe you a response to your awesome capybara card!
  • u/travel4me22: Thanks for your world beer day card with the extensive life updates and travel plans! I've not travelled any further since my trip to Canada (it was fairly recent!), but I hope to make one more short trip (extended weekend) within Germany before the end of the year. I've never been to Alaska and I want to go so badly! It will probably take a few more years, though. I'd also love to go to Georgia (the country) as well as back to Georgia (the US state) - perhaps I'll manage both before Alaska, we'll see. When you get back from Alaska, I'd love to hear your report! I was thinking of going in summer some time, perhaps involving a cruise from Vancouver to Anchorage followed by renting a car for some excursions. Does this sound like a good idea?
  • u/jane_q, and u/jaimekj and u/lonelytwatwaffle: Thank you for your card from your meetup - fun. And you even printed a custom card for it!! Thank you so much for thinking of me 💌
  • u/isar-love: Thanks for reinforcing the story that I always tell my girlfriend about how the only people who like Oktoberfest are the tourists! I hope you had fun on your trip. Let's catch up in person again some time, although sadly the beergarden weather might be over for this year :(
