During August I lost almost all motivation to do anything fun: cards, photography, little road trips… I don’t know what happened but I think I got a little burnt out of being really happy and excited all the time. Which sounds weird when it’s put like that, but life is nothing if not weird.

Well, all of that was fixed by a trip to the nearest Hobby Lobby. I entered heaven the moment I discovered the card aisles. Rows and rows of stickers in all the imaginable designs, markers and pens in every color, rubber stamps and glittery ink pads, MULTI COLORED ENVELOPES!!! Ah, I may have gone a little overboard, but it was worth it. And now I’m back in the groove and ready to send soooo many cards. 😁

Now, on to the thank-you’s!

It’s so colorful and shiny on the outside and the AMAZING ASL stickers on the inside are just perfection! My grandma used to quilt all the time and she would teach us about the different techniques and patterns and let us try our hand at it. I was never the best, especially when it came to using a sewing machine, but it built great memories. I’m happy you can “quilt with cards” now - you’re exceptional at it! (Literally, though. It surprised my dogs. 😂) What I found inside the envelope was the absolute perfect card for me - overflowing with dogs of all shapes and sizes! The most noticeable were the dogs from Go, Dog, Go! as that book was an essential part of my childhood. I’m pretty certain I can still recite it from memory, haha. I really hit my stride with making cards in June July but since then I’ve slowed down a bit to ensure I don’t get burnt out.
