Post Body
I'm still a bit burned out and have basically not been sending any mail, but I still got some love from y'all - thank you so much! Apologies for the slower-than-usual thank you post!
- u/AppleCritter723 x2: Thanks for the mail - so sweet of you to send it when I know you're going through a carding slump similar to me!
- Thanks for your card with the two trees in early winter! I love hearing the life updates from your family. Also, I love listening to audiobooks when on long drives so I'll check out the LOTR audiobook that you recommended next time I have the opportunity (probably not this month, but before EOY). I've been super stressed trying to decide on whether or not to quit my job - in the end I think I'll probably be too scared to actually do it before I have a vaguely comparable new job offer in hand. Gah!
- Thanks for the blue themed card! Your quilt story was so wholesome, I loved it! I can just imagine how much fun you and your loved ones must have had bonding over this and making it a really personal item. Good job being an amazing parent!
- u/LeeElla: Wow, I'm impressed that you're already travelling again! Japan is wonderful - I hope that you had Umeshu (by now I'm sure you know how much I love it). TBH I found Osaka less interesting than I had expected - Hiroshima was my favourite place by far, I was so impressed by the peace museum. The amount of wisdom in that place, and the stark contrast with the museum in Pearl Harbor, HI, is mindboggling.
- u/Lestrangelatte: Thanks for your card from my most favourite place in the world - Queenstown! I hadn't seen this particular card yet but the photo on it is absolutely gorgeous - the milky way spanning over the snow-capped mountains by the Cardrona Valley (by the looks of it), with Lake Wakatipu and the lights of Queenstown in the distance. Wonderful! I am currently going through a bit of carding burn-out so it might be a few months before I write back, but I've made a note to eventually respond with one of my favourite non-foldout Queenstown cards and respond to your comments :) Thanks again!
- u/PinkPengin: Thanks for the card from your meetup! So sweet of you to think of me 💌. I've heard of Crater Lake and would love to visit some day.
- u/onelittlericeball x2: Thanks for your two postcards! Congrats on the move - must be so exciting to have your own place. I personally have also not been writing basically any mail for the last two months because I felt kind of burned out. I will probably resume writing to select, treasured pen pals. Thanks for including your new address - I'll write back at some point!
