Hello everyone!

I know I'm cutting it very late but no matter when they arrive, I was hoping that I could have a few birthday wishes. Over the last year after some personal loss, I've gotten into Postcrossing and now here as well and it has been such an incredible experience receiving so much sunshine, warmth, strength and joy in the form of words and art in cards from across all borders. All of it means so much to me and I appreciate each and every one who can send me some birthday love.

A little about me - I'm a 30 (well 31 on Monday haha) year old guy who lives on the West coast of India in a seaside town a couple of minutes away from the beach. I absolutely love the sea (to the point where it's like I have salt water running through my veins and I start pining if I'm away for too long), the rain (maybe because I was born in the monsoons? June - September is the season of the South West Monsoon here in my part of India where it rains incessantly every single day and everything turns green and lush, my favourite season, I could go on forever about the rain!), reading, writing and nature.

I live in an apartment and have a lot of plants - I have a balcony garden that is now slowly resembling a tropical jungle with tons of orchids (everything from free hanging Vandas swaying in the breeze to phalaenopsis, dendrobiums and cattleyas), hoyas, and other flowering plants. I wish I could say indoors was any different but its not, with alocasias, monsteras and philodendrons everywhere. I even have a collection of roses and managed to get a few David Austin roses to bloom in 40C weather this summer, it made me so happy! My plants are a reflection of me and oftentimes a mirror to my own mental state when I take care of them.
