Post Body

These cards arrived last month but I'm only getting around to posting a thank you post for them, sorry! I appreciated them very much.

  • u/AppleCritter723 x5: Thanks for your stack of cards! Honestly I feel a little overwhelmed, I won't be able to keep up with you! I hope that none of your cards got lost because the address was incomplete - I've sent you a message with more details.
    • Thanks for the card from the Smoky Mountains! I'm happy that you safely returned home and that you were able to catch up with your extended family. I wish I had more of an extended family - it's so important!
    • Thanks for the Rock City lookout card! Sorry to hear that I. got sick, but I'm glad you had a fun night at home instead - I love portobello mushrooms in meals! Yum. I buy mushrooms pretty regularly and generally cook them the same day.
    • Thanks for the flowers series of three card and the story laid out across all of them! I am not a serial plant killer because I would be and therefore I don't have any plants! My girlfriend is much better and does look after some lucky plants. I'm personally more of a cereal killer, mostly for breakfast. I do love orchids though, they're so pretty. Your story of how you bought them was pretty funny, have you considered writing short stories? I think you have a talent. And I'm happy that the conclusion was that the orchids are actually doing well. Yay! <3
  • u/introvert_hangover x4: Thanks for your stack of cards! Honestly I feel a little overwhelmed, I won't be able to keep up with you!
    • Thanks for your card with the deers! I've only been to a Hard Rock Cafe (the one in London) once in my life. I used to think that collecting the T-Shirts from their branches around the world would be fun, but nowadays it has less appeal from some reason (I don't think I ever bought a single t-shirt from them in the end), even though I've been to at least three cities where they had restaurants.
    • Thanks for your card with the stunning design based on a drawing by Ernst Haeckel! My parents used to have a book with all of his drawings. You got it for your birthday? Such a thoughtful gift, wow!
    • Thanks for the Zelda card! I hope you have been enjoying Tears of the Kingdom - have you played any of the other games from the series? I've now played any of them, but my ex was obsessed with Ocarina of Time. Your plans for your staycation sound fund, I hope that you were able to do most of the things that you had planned!
    • Thanks for the (hand made?) card with the stylized egg shellvs! Haha, I loved your joke in the spirit of the upturned microscope! I'm pretty confident that I'm equal or worse to you at chess; I don't think I would ever purposefully lose the sheet, but I don't think we agreed on any maximum move time? :) Luckily with my lack of strategic depth, it's not apparent to me yet that I'm losing, so I'll try to send you my next move soon!
  • u/stephkempf: Thanks so much for your card! I hope that you had a chance to try umeshu when you were in Japan - as you know from my username, I'm a fan. Wishing you and your loved ones all the best <3
  • u/trianglewhoo: Thanks so much for your card! Let me know when you're back here, it'd be fun to catch up in a beer garden or similar some time. I hope that your internship is going well.
  • u/mydinosaurdidit: Thanks for your typewriter greeting card for national typewriter day! Aww, I didn't know about that date. I hope you had a great day. I haven't used my typewriter in ages, I should get it out some time soon!
