u/birdiebennett Thank you for the cool card with the knitted pattern :) I’ve knitted socks, mug cozies, and hair bows before but never anything large-scale like the vest on the card. I can only imagine how long that it would take to do! And thank you for the well wishes for my birthday <3 It’s been a great start to being 27 so far :) Also, I’m so curious what kinds of things you guys did for the Shrek themed bachelorette night – that is so unique and cool! One of my favorite movies growing up :) Hope that you have a great day!
u/blooming276 Thank you for the cute bird, fox, frog, and cat themed birthday card <3 They were adorable with their little hats on. And I loved your drawing of the girl holding string lights – it is amazing!!! <3 Have a wonderful day!
u/knittingemily Thank you for the pretty scenic card – I love how it looked painted :) And thank you for including the date and weather on the card – I love that piece of history. That’s cool that you live so close to the Canadian border – I’m excited to go to the US for the first time in a few weeks for Musikfest. I think that you would really like it here in NS :) It is wonderful being by the ocean <3 If you want to see some livestreams in the meantime, check out “Peggy’s Cove webcam” – there’s a livestream of a popular lighthouse and some other popular spots in NS :) It’s also fun to see what the weather is around the province because it varies a lot. Have a great day!
u/tyedyeamish Thank you for the super cool card! I loved the cat shooting lasers out of its eyes to light the birthday candles! I appreciate the birthday wishes <3 It was a great day! One of my favorite presents this year was an Animal Crossing themed hat and earrings from my mom :) Hahaha I already do have a stockpile of ibuprofen – already feeling the lovely aches and pains that come with getting older. Even been getting a few grey hairs for the last six years – those I don’t mind except when they decide to stand upright and make me look like and angler fish lol. Luca sounded like such a well loved pup <3 We had a lemon beagle named Stella until earlier this year – we got her when I was a teen :) She got along great with our cats and chickens.
u/primaryloon Thank you for the pretty homemade card <3 I love the design – it reminds me of peacock feathers and the way that the circles folded in the center like a flower was creative. I super appreciate the birthday wishes <3 It was a great day – had some black forest cake, played some games with my friends, and got to sleep in. And went dancing and got tacos the weekend before it. It was a nice balance of being busy and chill. I really like earl grey tea too – one of my fave brands is David’s Tea and some of my faves from them are Sleigh Ride, Pumpkin Chai, and Jumpy Monkey. I heard of that Evelyn Hugo book before but haven’t read it yet. I’ll have to check it out! I’m currently reading Firefly Lane :)
u/kimkimmrw Thank you for the cool paint-by-number card :) I love doing those! I loved the rainbow washi tape and letters too :) Also, your handwriting was super pretty. Hope that you have a wonderful summer too! Mine has been good so far – been loving watching all of the hummingbirds visit us daily.
u/travel4me22 Thank you for the birthday card! I love how you decorated the envelope! The cat themed card is super cute :) My 27th was wonderful – got to have some black forest cake, sleep in, and play some video games with a friend (“Knights and Bikes”).
u/sherlocklady Thank you for the cute homemade rabbit card :) I enjoyed reading about how you like to destress. I also like to watch tv and crafting to destress. I’m so happy that we met through here! Always fun to talk to you :) And thank you for all the goodies! I loved the stickers and quote :) I hope that you have an amazing day!
u/catnatomy Thank you for the cute homemade birthday card! And I loved how you included the caffeine molecule and coffee cups on the envelope – my morning coffee is the highlight of my day. I did get to do something just for me on my birthday – I got to sleep in and play some video games with my friend (“Knights and Bikes”). Also, I love how you decorated the card – it is so cute! The watercolor and stars were so creative – especially all of the puns. And thank you for including some adorable stickers too! Hope that you have a wonderful day :)
u/Specialist-Chapter89 Thank you for the Park City card! I also love the mountain drawing that you included. I’m happy that it is pretty warm right now – about 20 degrees Celsius outside today. Also, I love the homemade map card, ski Utah card, and stickers <3 It was super sweet of you to include all of that :) And thank you for including the date and weather on the card – I love that piece of history. I hope that you have a great day!
x2 u/peonynote Thank you for the pretty painting and White House postcards :) That was cool to read that you picked up one of them near your grad school. I appreciated you including the date and weather on the card – it is a fun piece of history to look back on. I really like going to museums too – I’m looking forward to checking some out when I’m in Germany in September. There’s supposed to be some awesome classical music ones there. And it did snow here in NS over the winter. It didn’t snow too much though – the spring was pretty dry too but we’ve gotten a ton of rain the last few weeks so hopefully that’ll help with local harvests. We have an apple tree in front of our kitchen window, and I love when it has white blossoms for about a week in May. And thank you for the stickers! The cats and dogs were super cute :) Also, I love the Starbucks card with the DC decorations on it – I love all of the fun designs that they do around the country for it. I wish that we had lighthouse themed ones here in Nova Scotia – that would be cool :)
u/cuddlykrogan Thank you for the cute panda and mouse themed card :) The shiny red flowers on it are adorable. The mushroom origami that you included was awesome too – I haven’t done that in a while and made me want to get back into it again :) And I love the little llama card too! The bar practice flashcard was cool too – can only imagine how much work it would take to memorize everything to pass the bar exam. I hope that yours went well :) I really enjoyed reading the letter that you included. I do like my school program so far :) Really happy that I found a subject that I want to pursue as a career. That’s cool that you got to learn about lichens through my post – they are such weird and neat things. I like describing them as the leafy things that people see growing on trees – makes it easier to recognize. I absolutely love that you asked your friends and colleagues about lichens – that survey of JDs and PhDs that knew and didn’t know what lichens were was so unique and fun! Especially the footnotes about the backgrounds of those that participated. One of the coolest cards I’ve gotten :) My favorite was the person who related lichens to werewolves :P As a fan of horror, I totally see where their mind went with that. Thank you again <3 This really brightened my day :)
