  • u/Jdoodle7: Thanks for your greeting card, which only took 6 days to get here! I did know that I like the city that I've moved to and the area that I moved to looked pretty good based on browsing on Google Maps and a quick walk - but TBH I haven't really gone out and so I haven't made any friends yet :-/ After my summer holiday maybe I should go to some meetup.com events or similar to meet people. I hope that you're well!
  • u/introvert_hangover x2: Thanks for your cards!
    • Thanks for your musings on fountain pens! No I do not post my pens - I'm so much more of a layperson that I didn't even know that that means putting the cap on the back! I should try that because I would prefer the pen to be longer, although I wonder how it'd affect the center of gravity. I do own a syringe that's meant for refilling fountain pen cartridges but I've never done that since I worry about spilling ink. I just use the CON-40 adapter (I have a handful of them), or if I'm going on a trip then I take one of my TWSBI pens (Eco or Diamond), since their reservoir will typically last me for the whole trip. I did also think that the Lamy 2K didn't flow as well as I expected, but it didn't occur to me that other 2Ks might be different/better.
    • Thanks for the bonus card with the old (1855) photo from the Fort Sumter light station! I had never heard of that place - had to look it up! My girlfriend will come back soon from her trip but as you noted, we're then going away for a bit together! I haven't written much in the last month and my experience generally is that I write less when I'm on trips so my response might not be quick, but I will write back at some point - probably a postcard from our trip, although perhaps only sent once we're back home. Thanks again!
  • u/LeeElla: Wow, I had no idea that you were already enjoying a Radler the day before we caught up - near Königssee, no less! I've never been there but have plans to finally see it in August. I hope that your Europe trip is going well, catching up in person was so much fun. Thanks for your card!
  • u/Panda-Post: Thank you so much for the custom made Umeshu card, which immediately propelled you into the select group of my very favourite penpals :) - thank you again! I did indeed move here (it's not just a PO Box) although I don't feel like I've made all that much progress with unpacking and exploring the area, yet. I hope that you're well!
  • u/56Thorns and u/UseYourRuler: Thanks for your joint card from Niagara Falls! I'm happy that you caught up and picked such a cool place to do it - I've never been to Niagara Falls but it's on my list, too. u/UseYourRuler I don't think we had card-met before - if you chat me your address and optionally a writing prompt / card preference, then I'd be happy to send you a card!
  • u/Anora214: Thanks for being so kind as to send me one of your cool handmade cards - must have taken you a lot of work, well done and thanks so much! I've moved so I've sent you a chat message with my new address.
