tl;dr: I've been sad and distracted; thank-you cards are still on my desk, and I have some postcards.

Hi everyone! I am currently in my hometown of Norwich, England. I got to Twickenham last Friday, spent time with friends, and then drove to Norwich on Sunday, Today (Tuesday) we are driving down to Portsmouth/Isle of Wight for a day and a half, and then will return to London-Victoria on Thursday. We then fly back home on the 31st.

I had MEANT to thank everyone for recent postcards and cards before I left, but April and May have been derailed by family sorrow. My father-in-law was in the hospital for a long time with complications from a blood infection, and he died in early April...the same day as my mother's death in 2021. So I had.....feelings. :( My poor husband has been scrambling to take care of paperwork matters for his mum, because she is devastated. She also doesn't use computers, so she needs a lot of help sorting through accounts! I'm sure many of you understand all the moving parts of grief and logistics. :(

On top of all that, I fell and fractured my knee in March, so I've been useless for a while. The knee has healed, thank goodness, but now I have some spine issues BELOW my lumbar fusion. So I'm getting shots for that, and I am getting ready to have a total knee replacement (left) at the end of June. I'm still "too young" for a new knee, but it's bone-on-bone, and it's painful.

When I get back, I'll do a proper thank you for all the cards and postcards that are sitting on my desk! But I do remember a couple cards from u/lonelytwatwaffle, u/tigerlady13, and u/welshfancy. There are more, and I do sincerely apologise for not thanking you earlier! But my mind has been so utterly distracted and devastated by all the things going on. :(

If anyone would like a postcard from London, let me know in the comments and send me your address in a DM. I sent a couple from Iceland, because we stopped there on the way over; I should have time to send a few postcards when I'm back in London. I'm going to try to pick up some Norwich postcards today, so if you want Norwich, since it IS my hometown, after all, LOL -- let me know! I also have a few Iceland postcards, but I don't know if I'll be able to actually mail them from Iceland. If you don't care about stamps, let me know if you want an Iceland postcard.
