Thank you u/Intrepid-Researcher x3 for sending me three beautifully styled cards in two envelopes along with tea, an origami dove, little Norway flags (did you cut those out yourself?) and lots of cool stickers - in particular the cat stickers were adorable, and the clownfish sticker was pretty great, too!

• First I opened the square envelope which was decorated flower / heart washi, abstract art stamps, and a super beautiful stamp showing someone dressed in a Norway flag overlooking a fjord (kiwis would say 'fiord'). Stunning! Thanks for the 'new home' greeting card inside - aww, so sweet and thoughtful of you! Regarding that story, who the hell doesn't show up to their own court date?!? So much disrespect to the court and their lawyer, and surely not helpful towards their own case?! I've only watched court cases twice - we went there once with my class in high school, and then again once at university as part of a law lecture. The first was a minor case of a woman who had bumped into a car and then fled the scene, the other was a drug junkie who super badly injured someone else with a broken bottle (they nearly died) and got off with just a slap on the wrist. Gah!
• Thanks for the "curiosity killed the cat" card! I actually already wrote you a card this morning for your national day but I haven't posted it yet so it will probably late sorry! How many lives are cats supposed to have in Norway? Here they're supposed to have seven lives (so the cat from the card hopefully still has six lives left), but I've heard that in most other countries they have nine!!
• Thanks for the owl card! I love watching videos on YouTube of little owls being petted, they are sooo cute 🦉🥰! Have you ever seen them? I must admit I'm neither into Top Gear nor Doctor Who - basically I never watch series. I do occasionally like SciFi books or movies - have you seen District 9? I remember thinking its story sounded super odd and almost certainly a bad movie, but then it turned out amazing! Its existence has a good back story too (I recommend you only read it after watching the movie). I'm sorry that the person who bought the Top Gear episodes didn't stick around :-( Sending hugs! 🤗
