Helllooooooo!!! It is I, super late once again with my thank you post (SORRY!!!) I thanked the vast majority of you privately so at least you would know your snail mail hugs reached their destination! Anywhoooo.....a LOT has happened since I last posted, so I will apologize in advance for the coming wall of text/diarrhea of the mouth :D

So, I fulfilled a childhood dream of buying a piano! For now, it's just a Kawai digital upright to practice on but I AM SO FREAKING STOKED TO START TAKING LESSONS AGAIN!!!!!! A big middle finger goes out to my parental units who decided I didn't need to take lessons anymore just because my sister didn't want to. May 5,000,000 fireants, snails, and a family of rattlesnakes infest your vegetable garden, mother and father. And to my sister: I hope termites infest your McMansion and the drop top on your BMW develops an irreparable leak. (Yes, I am petty and proud of it)

I got an invite for a job interview the end of May. If I get this job, I will most likely start in October. I'd rather start earlier but we'll see. Now I just need to buy a car, lol! It would mean a giant pay raise and dealing a bit more with international aid organizations so I am hyped and hoping I don't blow the interview...eek! I have been brushing up on the various laws involved with government assisted repatriation in preparation for the interview.....it's a FUCKTON of information to remember and my memory is definitely NOT what it used to be :(

The Empress gave us a scare a few weeks ago when she misjudged the distance from the foot of my bed to the window sill, and fell down - several times. Took her to the vet and it turns out she can't see that well anymore :( It's not bad enough for surgery just yet but we will definitely be keeping an eye on her. She's otherwise still her cranky demanding self so that's a relief! Btw, she is sending all of you hisses and scratches, along with her usual disdain and disregard....accompanied by her infamous RBF :D Remember your place, peasants!

Junior picked out his room at the assisted living place last week. It won't be 100% done until late fall but he is freaking excited about moving out and living down the hall from his best friend. It's all he can talk about, LOL! I have a calendar in the kitchen with the big day circled and he keeps checking the calendar every few hours to "see if it's time to move out yet. I have to pack my stuff!" :D :D
