Hello friends,
The move is complete! The unpacking... well, it's a work in progress! Library has bookshelves but no books yet, but there are a couple of armchairs (stolen from the living room and my office) and a lamp, and two windows to let in a lot of natural light. I just know it's going to be great. :)
On to the thanks! (I have more coming in the next few days, but thought I'd at least read and acknowledge the postcards to start)
u/ninajyang - thank you for the 10th anniversary of RAOC postcard! It's been a fun journey. :)
u/thecaledonianrose - I love Van Gogh's Irises too! My favorite though is Cypresses. I saw it at a traveling Met exhibit that came to Houston ages ago, and seeing it in person, with the paintbrush bristles stuck in parts of the painting just gave me the shivers in the best way. :)
u/sad-storm6692 - Thank you for the handmade postcard! I love your use of stickers and color. The sticker of Miguel from Coco immediately put "Un Poco Loco" in my head!
u/welshfancy - AHHH! I love your drawn octopus with their happy notes! This one is going on my wall as soon as it's ready for cards! :D
u/saintmeris - This lemon card is beautiful! I love the inclusions of the lime sticker and lemon washi! I love the stamps too! Cucumbers are delicious so I am a-okay with that instead of a lemon stamp! :D I ate a bunch of cucumber in my dinner salad haha
u/citytiger - Thank you for the Walt Whitman postcard, and the wishes for Walt's wisdom to fill my library. It's been many years since I've read Leaves of Grass, but you've inspired me to make sure it's one of the first books I pick up when the library is complete. :)
u/daeneryswon - Thank you for the birthday postcard! I'm glad to hear that you have a creative space to work in, even if you do have to share! Sharing is caring afterall. :D
u/rura_penthe924 - Thank you for the Saturn postcard! This will go beautifully with my other space themed cards I've received! I hope you are well. :)
u/littlemermaidxx - Thanks for the lovely nighttime woodblock postcard! I love these kinds of scenes, especially where there are multiple focal points. The pair on the bridge. The lone lit window. The person in the boat. So many stories to imagine and think on.
