Today was my first day as a volunteer at a raptor and bird rehabilitation center. I'm really excited (and tired)! I got to prepare meals for the song birds, clean enclosures (not glamorous but it means I get to work closely with the birdies), and other small tasks. One day I hope to be able to work with the raptors and owls!
Bonus photos of bald eagles. The rehab also has a self guided trail where you can observe the permanent resident birds.

Anyway, after my shift I went to the gift shop and bought a set of 8 cards.
I also got a sweatshirt because a King Pigeon (so big, white, and majestic) pooped on me! Lol but hey, it's good luck.
