In June of 2022 my mother had a major medical event happen that unfortunately resulted in her being in the ICU and we thought we were going to lose her any day. She has recovered in truly miraculous fashion but she will never be able to live on her own without constant medical care.

She has been pretty depressed since she arrived to her long term care facility and spends most of her days just watching TV and eating snacks. She is getting ready to move to a new care facility that is a bit further and I'd like to brighten her day and her room with some mail for her.

A little bit about my mom. My mom is an awesome person and raised me on her own. Her favorite color is purple. She loves cats dogs and especially wolves. She adores her 2 grandchildren, and all of the family pets. She's always watching a new show every time I see her. Recently she's been watching vet shows and shows like Deadliest Catch (a long time favorite of hers). When I was a kid my mom played a lot of video games with me, Spyro the Dragon and Tekken come to mind first. She loves slightly spooky movies. We watched Blade (with Wesley Snipes) and Corpse Bride together a lot when I was younger. She loves nature and used to go both to Las Vegas and fishing with her father several times a year. She played in the World Series of Poker and while she never made it major league she was really good.
