February has been such a big mail month! So many surprise birthday cards, valentine cards, AND cards just because you’re the sweetest group of people and send me happy messages even when it isn’t a special day. You’re the best!

You wrote another poem for me for my birthday… You are so incredibly thoughtful and I don’t deserve you! Also, the glittery feathers on this card along with the scalloped edges and sheening blue ink really perfectly set off the cozy, peaceful vibes. How perfect for our cozy reading lists this year! I need to display this one.

In your other bday card, you were remembering correctly I LOVE carrot cake! This is such a pretty cake card! 

…and also, how did you find a lime cake card SCENTED like the citrus?! It smelled AMAZING! I feel like you spend every second of your time dedicated to finding the most thoughtful and personalized things for everyone. You’re just a lovely human, and I’m so glad I’m lucky enough to know you!

Oh! I also got your yellow envelope with three cat postcards, and you know I’m on a cat kick right now, so I’m not sure if it helped with my fix or if it just made me want to go hot air ballooning with a couple of them. Either way, they were so cute! I love their expressions in their little costumes! XD The beachy one reminds me… I need to send you some washi in the next card! I have some that would perfectly match, and you could send it to our mutual RAoC friend when you send that one to their way!

Then there’s also these cute little stickers of capybaras and mail friends, and it makes me so jealous that you happen upon such cute stationery like this! You’re way too nice to share it!

I almost sent a msg on your bday and remembered you were heading on vacation and didn’t want to bother you. I hope you had the best time and enjoyed a huge “chocolate mess”... wait…no…That’s that family with more children than that nursery rhyme about living in a shoe… my bad… I hope you had cake or some other delicious treat, like a normal person! :D

I also got a really gorgeous handmade card you requested on my behalf! It was so sweet and filled to the brim with fun extras! It arrived in a pretty teal envelope with a “You are fabulous” and had another little card that had all these sweet little affirmations on it! Then there were two mini cards with positive quotes, and I don’t know what you’re doing here, boosting my ego like this, but it’s working! :D …and the stickers! <3 Oh, they are the cutest stickers! You’re right. I think we’ve been having very similar weather lately. It’s been quite rainy here. It’s perfect for staying in the house and reading, so I’ll try not to complain about the amount of coffee I need to keep myself from dozing midday!

I think when I’ve made resolutions in the past I’ve made them too lofty and if I failed at all, I’d just scrap the whole thing and feel kind of defeated. Good on you for making incremental changes!

Then I was able to read about your fun trip from it, which was so much fun! You’re right. I think even a quick getaway to a fairly local spot would be fun, just to get out! I loved your postcard that mentioned your very smart goals for the year and absolutely need to work on that myself! I know by owning less, it would mean the chaos of the clutter is kept down as well, and that would be so nice!

Your Loïs Mailou Jones postcard arrived today, too! What a pretty card, and I love how you enhanced it with the cute washi of the mountains and cherry blossoms… gorgeous! Oooh, I remember your story about taking in a kitty to foster until it went to a permanent home! That is seriously so sweet! I have been on a cat kick lately, despite allergies, because I realized a while ago that I don’t know if I could ever love another pup as much as I do our doggo. Luckily he’s going to live forever, so I never have to worry about it. That’s what I tell myself at least. :)

You’re so thoughtful! I can’t take it! Also, I looked at the enclosed map and got so excited for one of the areas and was even more excited when it mentioned looking up some of the restaurants to the point that I kind of want to put that on a list for things to do soon with the littles! I think “W” would love it very soon! Sorry for being so very vague in this post. I didn’t know how much you’d like me to mention, so I’ll just have to write back. :)

I think I might have mentioned the little dog drawing on the back looks soooo much like my dog… but I guess I shouldn’t start with that… No, sorry… ahem… the FRONT was so cute and magical with the little narwhals and the message inside was so thoughtful. I also made cards that way when I was younger, and I kind of miss the style of them, tbh! What a creative and fun birthday surprise! <3

After I stopped putting my little hearts on the little gnomes, I peeked into the envelope and saw the sweetest little snail with its little mail carrier bag and hat, and oh, my word… the teensy letters hidden in there were just the cutest!

I also loved the sweet little kitten valentine! I can’t speak much more to it as it’s currently being used as my bookmark!

Then…the grand finale-- the pengy sticker and the writing on the back of it! XD bwahaha… You win!

u/umeshufan (x9)- I think the day you mentioned you had no more cards en route, I received one of your hilarious Snooty Bookshop postcards! You know I love these! I remember getting irrationally annoyed in school every Halloween when I heard people calling Frankenstein’s monster “Frankenstein.” I was (ahem… am?) insufferable! Lol I really hope that getting back to normal has been feeling really great and not overwhelming, though. As always, I love the updates! 

I love the postcrossing stamp that you used. I don’t think I’ve seen that one, but it’s really cute, and I love the colors on it! 

You’ve been waiting forever to be thanked for this one. I’ve been looking at the pretty space stamp on the envelope for weeks now, but I finally opened the dachshund birthday card! I think I’ve mentioned I had some dachshunds when I was younger! They’re so cute and feisty, so I kind of got excited to see a festive birthday version of my Huckleberry Hound and Wishbone on the card from you! It was so happy, and it made me laugh with the mention of Radar. Lol Radar said hello this morning, btw! It was hard to understand him while he was chewing on his carrot, but I understood.

Oh, my word. You sent me an entire SET of 6 LotR maxicards? I’m all out of words. They are gorgeous! When I bought the stamps, I only got the stamps themselves, not the cards. I love hearing about your time in NZ, the lovely papermaking art, and about watching the extended version of the film. What did you think?

I just got the Dude on the $1 bill postcard today! It made me laugh! I, at one point not so long ago (before babies), made cherry cake every year for his bday… just because I wanted an excuse to make cherry cake… like vanilla cake with cherries in the batter and cherry filling…and I need to stop talking about it now before I go check the freezer for cherries…
