Thank you to all of you for helping me slowly fill up the empty walls of my college room this term!

u/Starboard44 x 3 - Thank you for the Penguins Classics postcards! Each one is just so perfectly suited to me: the Greek literature I study is mainly c.5th-4th BCE. Not only that, but as chance (or perhaps the core texts of the Classical canon) would have it, I have a connection to each of the three books -- I'm studying both Aristophanes' 'Clouds' and rhetoric, and my friend wrote on Apuleius' 'Golden Ass' for his dissertation -- so I'm very pleased indeed!

u/xmgm33 - Thank you for the Edward Hopper card, which I do like a lot! It looks like such a peaceful setting, and I'm enjoying the dynamic between the two figures -- the man (much older?) in his comfortably large shirt with his reading; the woman equally confident and comfortable in just her underwear (although I would not be nearly as calm perched on the edge of a second-storey balcony!).

u/CorpseyLady - Thank you for the card exchange; I wish you good luck in the chase! I hadn't heard of funeral service education before -- it's interesting to realise that it's so institutional and theoretical --I'm glad it exists!

u/DianaPenPal - Thank you for the card from Basel, which has much jazzier architecture than I may have imagined! Those are quite some roof tiles. I would love to be effortlessly quadrilingual, just as my mother tongues.

u/jubilanthello - Thank you for the bicycle postcard, and sharing your goals with me. I also intend to graduate, read more, and see some sunlight sometimes!

u/TigerLady13 - Thank you for the Valentine's card; you too are awesome!

u/LaCuntessa - Thank you for the Economist postcard. I suppose, if it's a campaign against hanging (as the description reads), that the man hanged is being humanised by his pink shirt and pinstripe trousers -- but how incongruous. Perhaps the surprise is the point? Interesting as it is, I think I'll hold off putting this one up on my wall!

u/Slavkan12 x 6 - Rich pickings from you, as usual, that I enjoyed very much. I am up to my eyes in uni work, but I shall write replies once my nostrils are clear!

u/wabisabi_sf - Thank you for the national park postcard with a twist! Deadpan, unimpressed reviews are the best to read.

u/SnooHesitations3122 - Thank you for the Bhimbetka cave card. I can never quite wrap my head around geological time. What does the opening sentence say?

u/_pickupthepieces - Thank you for the sweet panda Valentine's card; I am happy to hear that you don't have any outstandingly terrible romantic experiences!
