Hi all! I was hardly active on this sub last year because the war took a massive toll on my mental health (it’s absolutely nothing compared to the suffering currently being inflicted on Ukrainians, obviously). I still exchanged cards via Postcrossing, though, and it was quite therapeutic.

My birthday is on February 8. I made a birthday request last year and got a ton of awesome birthday mail which really cheered me up! This year the mailing restrictions make it impossible to receive mail from some countries, and I should mention USA in particular because I feel like this sub is like 80% US residents, meaning this request is closed to most of you guys. I’d still really appreciate it if someone who wants to and is still able to send to Russia sent me a lil card. The cards will definitely arrive after my birthday (because I procrastinated writing this post BIG time 🤡), but I’m fine with that.

I’ll be glad to receive any postcard or greeting card, be it handmade or store bought. Here are some things I like on cards: lighthouses, whales (especially orca), autumn/spooky/Halloween stuff (makes me happy no matter what season it is!), books, Old Hollywood movies, plants, cross-stitch. I also like LGBTQIA cards (in envelopes) and cards promoting neurodiversity. Of course these are just guidelines and I’ll appreciate any card sent my way!
