u/skylineprophets Thank you so much for the sweet Disney “Snow White” postcard in celebration of National Trivia Day! I was especially grateful for the fascinating piece of trivia you shared: “Did you know that Disney is the second largest purchaser of explosives in the U.S. (second only to the military)?" WTH?!?!? I was clueless, friend!!! What a cool, interesting, and perhaps sketchy haha piece of trivia I can file away to share with a complete stranger the next time I’m in an awkward silent elevator ride situation! ;) Just to make it a bit more fun & awkward, ha! For an hour, I thought this post was being deleted because of the word "explosives" hahaha!

u/sunflowr_prnce The night before I received your glorious, gorgeous envelope, I fell asleep with only one thought running through my head
”I think I need to buy a letter opener.” And then I woke up to the beauty that is your envelope. As tempted as I was to tear into this beaming baby without a letter opener, I practiced some self-control. I was running late for a class so I took your magnificent mail with me with a plan to buy a letter opener afterward. I couldn’t even concentrate in my dumb class because I just wanted to run to Walmart for that letter opener. Even with the promise of a free class lunch afterward! Finally, I couldn’t handle the sweet, simultaneously sadistic suspense anymore so I skipped the last 20 minutes of class (plus the free lunch) and sped over to Walmart, only to realize in the parking lot that I forgot my credit cards & wallet at home. OMG OMG I lost my mail-obsessed mind, picked up your envelope, and just as I was about to use my fingers to gently rip??!!?! it open, I just couldn’t do it to the beautiful washi tape & the pretty pink envelope. So I scavenged my junked out car (where unfinished library class crafts go to die) for loose change and was GIDDY to find EXACTLY $1.48 in the grossest, crustiest, oldest, zinc-corroded pennies and nickels of all time. You know, the weird white ones. The ones that even the homeless won’t touch and you really should wear a HAZMAT suit to handle them. The letter opener - $1.43. Saving your dreamy envelope forever - priceless!!! My joy doubled at the sweet sight of the heart-warming postcard from the Studio Ghibli film “Only Yesterday” featuring the excited little girl/watermelon scene & your lovely welcome to the forum!! This super pretty postcard/envelope & the warmth & kindness with which you sent it makes me so happy!!!!

u/organicalmondmilk Thank you so much for the calming, soothing card featuring photography of flowering succulents (I think)! I really love the washed out look for this card (although I’m not sure if that’s the best way to explain it - I’m trying to figure out if it’s a filter or what). I also went BANANAS over the cuuuute đŸ„° vintage pic insert & the AWESOME green Shel Silverstein stamp (I was so relieved I waited for my new letter opener before opening your envelope..this stamp is just HAPPY!).

u/DaredCarcass Thank you so much for the neat-o vintage postcard of the Liberty Heights Swimming Pool in Martinsville, Virginia! I really like the pretty pastel colors the artist used for the serene sky!

u/LaCuntessa Thank you so much for the cool postcard featuring a vintage magazine cover of “The Economist” from May 6, 1961 along with this fun fact from the magazine’s Head of Graphics: “Some of our cover artwork in this period was unashamedly cryptic. This one illustrated a cover-story on US-R%#@$& relations after John Kennedy’s first 100 days in office.” This really appeals to my inner nerd! The stickers you used are so cute - especially the vintage-y one with the girl posing. I have to find some similar ones! I also love how you included your weather along with the date (“57 degrees & cloudy”). I’ve never seen that before on a postcard - cool tip!!

R%#@$& = the country bullying Ukraine, just in case Reddit doesn't like it.
