For those who read my last post - I managed to get some volunteering work done today with the conservation society/ volunteers at uni, so I have something to write about on my cover letters now!

I helped make a 25 sq m raft which will be turned into a nesting site for birds at an RSPB nature reserve. I ended up knee deep in cold pond water (my feet got wet not long after we got the basic raft frame into the water as my wellies were really short, so I figured I might as well be the one who stayed wet and helped move the raft around in the water!) hammering nails into the different bits of wood to hold it all together. And then I paddled a boat with the raft in tow - certainly a workout!

Yet somehow my mani survived all that, but when it got home and hand washed some clothes some flaked off!

Also my clothes still smell of pond water so I'll have to wash them again tomorrow :(

(I do have a washing machine but it left sand on some of the clothes so I rinsed them off by hand)
