I've been lurking around on /r/RedditLaqueristas for a little while, and only just subscribed to /r/RandomActsOfPolish! Just wanted to say hi and also, what would you say is the essential base kit for nail art? Nothing too fancy or expensive, but something more than just a few coats of one colour of polish.
I have around 40 polishes, of varying size and quality - most of them are cheap ones! I'm from the uk (my home is durham, im at uni in birmingham)...and I don't know what else to say apart from so far this seems like a lovely community who stick together! :)
EDIT: I've ordered some dotting tools, tape, brushes and a stamping set! Excited!!! Do I need to use special nail varnish with the stamping set or is normal nail varnish fine? I noticed konad is selling 'special nail polish', but I don't know if its just a marketing gimmick?!
