Can't believe I'm posting this but when something amazing happens I believe in sharing because we all know....SHARING IS CARING!! Here's my little ole success story.

Last week I commented on what some might consider an unconventional post for RAOMD. It was a post offering handyman repair services in exchange for the world's oldest, tried and true currency. The post was for Chicago & Suburbs but upon reading it I couldn't resist posting a comment. A short time later I got a chat from the man who made the post. He knows I'm posting and doesn't mind if I share. He asked where I was located and I explained I wasn't in his area as I'm in north central Indiana. Turns out he was waiting to find out if he was going to be coming to Indiana for a job and ultimately, he did. Yay, me!

We had a little back and forth with getting our schedules to mesh but he was very flexible and we ultimately got that worked out. We discussed payment and I thought that it was more than a fair trade. Let's be honest here...we've all given it up for less at one point or another. I'll admit I was a little nervous but not in a weird, flaky way but in a this feels like some porno I saw when I was a kid.

Then I got the text that he had arrived. It was dark out because it's officially winter in God forsaken Indiana and it's dark by 5:30 p.m. so I didn't get a good look at him until he stepped inside. I knew he was a big man...I mean he makes that plain...6'4", lumberjack...but DAMN! I am a tall BBW and there aren't many times I feel short! He's not intimidating. He's really personable, laid back and extremely chill. There was ZERO awkwardness as he had me show him everything and set to work. Conversation flowed easily and I honestly felt 100% at ease in his presence at all times. When the repairs were finished we chatted about "what now" as he was totally concerned with my feeling comfortable and not overstepping or being pushy. All I could think was, "So let me get this straight...he comes to fix stuff for me PLUS I get to play with this incredibly yummy man?" Yeah...it was a win/win for me!

We got down to business and let me just say that he is a big boy on all fronts. Oh my goodness he is absolutely, positively beautiful and I am so thankful I am impulsive and left that comment on his post. Ladies...please don't think this is a game or not for real. The dude knows what he's doing and is a perfect gentleman...until he's not, which is even better. So, whip out your "honey do" list and reply to a post of his, when you see one. You'll be so happy you did.
