I've just completed a project at work, having spent 3 months working on it pretty much night and day, but probably 8 years dreaming this moment. So, without wishing to brag, I'm feeling pretty damn good about myself tonight.
When my boss took me on for this job he said it was because he knew I'd be 'like a dog with a bone': he wanted me to take his targets and rip them to pieces, then spend months obsessing over them; pursuing them; chewing them over; getting everything out of them.
