I have couple of report backs if we can call them that. The fail happened somewhere in Barcelona but the success happened in Vienna.
Fail: (Get) eat(en by a) local
I will take part of the blame on this one. As a stupid American abroad, I went ahead and did the most American (read: dumb) thing. I went abroad and instead of choosing local (and by that, I mean, choosing a local diver), I decided to choose an expat. So really, I am like those tourists that go to Paris and decide to eat at the KFC. This is very unlike me. I spend half of my life traveling for work, so I try to enjoy the scenery and do as the locals do. I even skip any of the tours that our workplace arranges and go on my own.
My original post (erased, to avoid the creepos who use a RAOMD post to slide into your DMs) indicated that I was free for a dive and depending on how it went, I would reciprocate. The way I usually go about these things is to have drinks and a snack to see if we click. Again, I was happy to hear from an American how Barcelona was treating him, etc. I should have listened to my gut since his vibes were off. To make an uncomfortable story short: He was one of those guys who do not tell women they are politically conservative so they can get laid. After awkward conversation, he said wanted to make sure that he would be turned on first, so he wanted a blowjob “or something” before he dived. Ha! I was already dry as the Sahara, so I said my goodbyes and paid both of our tabs.
SUCCESS in Vienna: Like in Rome …
After a day of museum wondering, I decided to meet with my Austrian diver. I decided for us to have coffee, instead of drinks, just in case I hit some bad luck streak. I was also late but my diver was gracious and accepted my apologies. We talked about work and non-dive things. Maybe he was too polite? We both had work stuff to do but decided to meet for wine and a dive later. I did not tell him that I was fearing another failure, but I did say I was on the fence about reciprocation. He was gracious and told me that he was trying RAOMD because of the dive and the excitement around meeting with a “gorgeous stranger”. In any case, we had lots of wine and chocolate before we decided to go to my hotel room. Of course, it went amazing, and I lost count of how many times he made me see stars. We made sure to take breaks and talk about serious stuff. (I am an academic; he works in policy.). It was getting late and since I had one more day in Vienna before I went to my next stop in Austria, I told him I wanted him to come back tomorrow afternoon so I can return the favor. We made plans for an early dinner in my suite. I will not go into details, but I was impressed with the length, the shape, and how he used his beautiful uncut cock. And even more so that he did not bring it up as part of the conversation. (I get turned off when we are obviously in a RAOMD situation, and the diver needs to wax poetic about his dick.)
After a nice final leisurely slow fuck before he had to go, I told him to be my boytoy and come and spend the weekend with me in Innsbruck. I was able to get a good deal on an expensive hotel with a nice spa set-up. I would be busy in the mornings with conference tasks but would love to see him after I was done. He joined me on Saturday and left on Sunday afternoon. We had an amazing time and even had a semi-public adventure in one of the spa areas.

In sum: Do the locals; avoid the expats. There are exceptions, of course.
