The code /u/RedditWIN gave me initially was used as the place he bought it from did not give him a legit code. After sending a few emails to the supplier, who then contacted the key seller, who then contacted steam support, /u/RedditWIN said screw it and decided to just buy another copy for me!
In the end it worked out as /u/RedditWIN got his money back and I got my game!
