Background: for the last two years, I’ve been a single dad trying to sort that out and giving nearly all my time and energy to helping them cope with the changes, and prioritizing them. Their mom decided one day she no longer wanted to be a wife/mother and left - no contact and no explanation for them. It’s been all hands on deck for me flying solo and giving them probably more attention than they wanted, but it is what felt right. Don’t get me wrong, have enjoyed the company of others a few times in the last few years here and there… but typically while traveling for work and not here in Texas/home.
