Secondary Operator Abilities

Has anyone ever thought of starting a real push for secondary operator abilities to keep the game fresh and interesting? There's only so many times you can play thermite and blow up a wall before it's a little boring. What if Ubisoft could add secondary abilities to make up doe for the decreased number of operators coming in future years? I'm thinking of how Mortal Kombat 11 has character variations, where a character has two types of specialized versions that have strengths and change how you can play. What if you could choose between old school Tachanka and the new Tachanka? What if Capitao had the default arrows or you could choose to use arrows that dont detonate until you activate them, like Hibana? Or Thermite having default charges or a thermite charge that is either larger/louder or smaller/almost silent and you get one.

I know most players have thought, "oh, I wish ____ gadget worked like this instead" and it's those little changes that could become alternate variations of the operators, providing strengths and weaknesses.

Of course some operators, like thermite, have less room for what can really be done to give them an alternate ability but it could add some more content to the game and make up for less new operators.
