I see this as a line like a Pillbox. Everbody keeps seeing circles. I see a rectangle :D. Yeah sure, the device seems to cut in a circular line. What if the way that exploded was into a rectangle once they all blew. This could essentially make a hole that is nearly an advantage to the Defense as much as the offense. You peek that hole and you aren't BB then you are most likely getting popped in the skull.
