Ubisoft connect not working with R6 (got thru gamepass)

Title says it all.
I downloaded the game thru game pass since I have it and ubisoft connect refuses to work in game. I cant open invites, cant look at challenges, etc. It's pretty annoying so if anyone knows a fix please lmk. I don't really have the money to buy the game so I wanna find a fix.
