Okay so I’m siege I am a big backer of shotgun gameplay both on defense and attack I don’t mind using an AR or SMG but I simply find them unsatisfying and too simple to use for me it’s like the White bread of siege.

And when I can I’ll try to always use a shotgun and the pump shotguns feel great especially after the rework they are far more consistent and when they aren’t it’s usually my fault or I was just a little too far away.

But fuck me semi auto shotguns are a pile of shit (SIX12SD is exempt from this discussion it’s a unique shotgun that preforms decently well even after the laser sight change nerfing shotguns) The Spas-15 is the only semi auto that I will confidently take and excel with. Despite its damage being significantly lower than other shotguns including the BALIFF, it’s strengths are its lack of recoil and spread allowing it to excel at follow up shots very easily.

Keep in mind the spas 15 can hit 50% of its buckshot and still not do enough damage to down a 3 speed which is why it’s extremely tight spread is key to its design which also requires the player to put far more effort into actually aiming and also allows for the semi auto function to shine at longer ranges.

I say this because a lot of shotguns aren’t a considerable option in comparison with their main gun which is unfortunate because operators who want to breach and get in fast would work great with their shotgun if it actually worked as a viable weapon.
