Clan Boss Guide, the ideal setup for a counter attack group
Post Body

Decided that now since I have the correct speed setups on my champions, I can do a proper CB guide. Do not pay attention to the heroes I have, but look at their roles instead. What their buffs are, their debuffs, and what they do for the fight. Let's look at a few things that I've noted when building my team:

  1. Do NOT start at 170 speed. You WILL go after the boss. I went up to 175 and that seems to work.
  2. I wanted my counter attack buffer to go last but before the boss. This way everyone has maximum uptime of that counter attack buff. If they go after this buffer, they lose a free turn.
  3. I wanted my stun removal to go after my bait.
  4. My bait is Tayrel over Peydma because he offers a defensive aura and he can use def %/HP % gloves over her crit %.
  5. You can bait the CB by using this method:
    1. He targets anyone he can kill first
    2. If he cannot kill anyone, he targets anyone not affected by a counter attack buff
    3. If he cannot target anyone without a counter attack buff, he goes for anyone who does not have a defensive buff
    4. So by following this rule, I can get Tayrel to be targeted by the boss's stun attack and then immediately remove it with Steelskull
  6. Remove ALL RNG. By this, I mean the support masteries that have a chance to increase your speed if a buff/debuff drops off. This will ruin your strategy.
  7. This also means removing Lasting Gifts. You'll see why in my breakdown of the video.
  8. My speeds go from 178 (Martyr) to 184 (Rhazin). I wanted Rhazin to go first because he provides a Defense Break and Weaken debuff all in one skill, allowing me to maximize damage from any WM/GS procs.

So here is the video: https://youtu.be/4BpyYAVaWKs

As you can see, a couple times Martyr's buff tags Tayrel for a 3 turn duration. This caused the boss to target Steelskull twice, and Nethril once. I'll be removing that support skill.

The ideal strategy works but I goofed a few times, namely when even after 3 turns, Tayrel failed to apply his Attack break and I made Steelskull attack and she took the last debuff space with a poison. That started the cascade that was my downfall. Still, I walked out with an easy 25.7 million damage, more than enough to auto the rest in my next round.
