Hero Review: Pain Keeper
Post Body

So I'm new to doing reviews but it seems just about everyone is. Everyone is looking for one de facto source to say what a hero is good at. Myself included. We dont have skill scaling, so that hurts a lot. But let's start with this one. Excuse my poor lack of editing, I dont know Reddit editing very well.

Pain Keeper

What an oddball. First thing you'll notice is she's a jack of all trades. She scales with HP, Def, and Attack for some reason, making her quite hard to gear for. But let's see what she has to offer

6 star, 6 ascention (sorry, should have done this at 0 ascension) stats

- HP: 19,320

- Atk: 969

- Def: 771

- Speed: 102

- Faction: Dark Elves

- Role: HP

- A1: Unflagging Advance. Attacks 1 enemy 2 times, fills her Turn Meter by 15%. (Damage 35% at lv 6)

- A2: Spectacular Sweep. Attacks all enemies, then heals all allies by 25% of THEIR max HP. (Heals 35%, Damage 20%, 4 turn cd at lv 8)

- A3: Combat Tactics. Decreases the cd's of all ally skills by 1 turn. (4 turn cd at lv 4)

So what does she look like. She's part attacker, she only hits 2 times with her A1 which means she wants Warmaster over Giant Slayer. She wants Def and Atk for her A1, HP and Atk for A2. Her A3 seems to be quite unique in that it reduces your teams cd's! Including her own making this a 3 turn cd, and her Aoe attack/heal 3 turns as well. Now whether or not this is better than say Apothecary who can offer a speed boost of 30% over 2 turns plus adding 30 flat to their meters, is another thing and unfortunately I'm not sure how to test that. At this point, I dont have anything to compare her too, to see where she stands stat wise. If anyone wants to put in some input, I'd be glad to hear it.

So what does she want? Well, we know she scales with 3 different stats, which is not very nice and makes her quite hard to gear. So let's start with what she doesnt want. That would be crit rate, crit damage, and accuracy. She wants to go fast to use her A1 as many times as she can to add that flat 15% turn meter, and her heal plus that amazing A3, will want to be used as many times as possible. However you need to be careful! You do NOT want her going first and having autobot (roll out) use her A3 right off the bat. So if you are going to auto a fight, you should start by manually going about the first turn.

How will I build her? I'm going to try her against the CB. I dont care about her scaling damage, so def, hp, and atk scaling mean nothing to me as her damage is going to be negligible and her main damage is going to be Warmaster. So I'm going to start by gearing her with Lifesteal and Speed, like my Defensive heroes. Im going to aim for 35,000 or more HP so that one trigger of Warmaster will bring her back to full life and I want her to have as much speed as possible so she can reduce the cd's on my team, as well as heal them some in case they do not proc their own WM/GS.

First Test Results, obviously RNG plays a big role:

- Apoth Tayrel == 27 mil.

- Apoth Pain Keeper == 26.9 mil.

- Tayrel Pain Keeper == 22 mil.

- Removing Rhazin == 25.9 mil.
