Help a returning player out please

Hi !
I am a returning player after many years. I didn't play the game much but found it a fun casual game in the past. I got back into it and I want to ask a few questions that I didn't find any answers to.
- I reached lvl 99 Assassin. Is it really necessary to become an assassin cross?
- Can I do mvp as an assassin?
- To refine items where do I get old enriched oridecon and enriched oridecon? Do actually need these items to refine items? Is there another way?
