How do you become certified in bone densitometry?

My teacher talked about bone density testing today and mentioned you had to get certified to perform them. I'm curious about how you go about this (post RT), what's involved, and any opinions on it. Not that it's necessarily something I'm interested in, but I'd like to be more knowledgeable about it.
