Hi all,
I've been having really bad Dysphagia the past few weeks and was referred to an ENT. She wants to rule out swallowing disorders so has put me forward for a Barium Swallow.
I'm super nervous about this as I don't want to choke on the Barium and I've heard horror stories of people gagging on it etc. I have to mash all my meals up and feel everything sliding down my throat so my Dysphagia is pretty bad.
How thick is the Barium solution that I'll have to drink? Do you do a lot of these tests? I want to try and calm myself down as this whole business has got me stressing out pretty bad.
Thanks everyone
