Power for an accessory (Garmin Varia)

I have a RadRunner 2 and I want to install a Garmin Varia radar on the back. Can I connect the radar unit to the RadRunner’s battery so it can be powered along with the rest of the bike? It would be great if I only had to charge one big battery.
