Strange behavior/honking and crying (?) after neutering

Post Body

Exactly a week ago, my boy got neutered. By the third recovery day, his energy levels were back up to normal. I was having to give him meds, but I had to give up by Thursday - he was NOT letting me do it, after over an hour of trying. Ever since Thursday, he seems more territorial...he jumps at my hands and feet when approaching him, he's much harder to pick up, and he'll do a combination sound of a sort of honk, immediately followed by a short cry/whimper. Sometimes he lets me pet him, but not as much as he did pre-neuter. Overall, he seems more restless and defensive than normal. My guess is that this is a result of chasing him around and forcing meds for three days, but I wanted to post in here to hear other opinions or thoughts.
